A (minor) flood at the school, Aug. 9

In News by Imago Dei School

The record rains that fell on Tucson the morning of August 9 caused water to rise to a depth of several inches in the back of the school’s Chapel. The School Leadership Team – Cameron Taylor, Kitt Bret Harte, and The Reverend Anne Sawyer – swung into action, pulling up pavers, digging a trench, and enlisting a workman with a jackhammer from the construction project next door to create a drainage channel to the alley behind the school.

Classes continued without disruption and no real damage was done, but the three of them got very, very wet. (We are happy to report that their engineering project was successful – the chapel has stayed dry in subsequent downpours.)
