Bubble Art at TMA
Our sixth graders walked over to the Tucson Museum of Art today, where they had a great time making images using the unique medium of colored bubbles. They had a ball. We couldn’t appreciate our partnership with TMA more!
On March 4, medical students from the UA School of Medicine visited Imago Dei under the aegis of the Department of Family and Community Medicine’s Med Teach program, which goes out to under-resourced middle schools with everything needed to dissect sheep eyes and hearts while teaching kids about anatomy, physiology, and, not incidentally, the incredible coolness of science. Science Fair 2016
Young Imago Dei scientists and engineers showed their stuff February 18. Their project displays were the culmination of weeks of planning, research, analysis, and information design. Congratulations to our scholars, and to the teachers and mentors who advised. Nicely done!
Angel Charity for Children says YES!

Shrove Tuesday (Mardi Gras) 2016 at Imago Dei
On February 9, Imago Dei Chaplain Rev. Susan Anderson-Smith led our scholars in the traditional Mardi Gras observances of eating King Cake and burning last year’s Palm Sunday palms at Amory Park to make ashes for Ash Wednesday. Strings of carnival beads were another traditional touch as everyone said “goodbye to the flesh” and prepared for the beginning of Lent.
Christmas Party 2015
Thanks to Santa’s Helpers, Tucson Police Department Communications Division, and Pappas Kids School House Foundation, all of our kids received gifts, a jacket, and gifts for all their siblings at a party at the school December 17. It was a very fine time.
Intuit volunteers help 8th graders learn and earn at farmers market
Volunteers from the Innovation Catalyst Team at Intuit’s Tucson site have been working with our 8th graders for the past several years developing Community Outreach projects that allow our students to make Tucson greener and show off their organic gardening skills in the form of bedding plants adapted to local gardens.
